Usher headed for divorce
Usher Raymond IV and his wife, Grace Miguel, announced that they have filed for divorce.
After just two years of marriage, and nearly ten years together, the pair have called it quits. The news was announced in a joint statement on Tuesday.
“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward,” it read.
According to sources, the couple had been separated for "a couple of months".
The couple, who married in September 2015, were hit by scandal in August last year after a man and two women filed a $20-million lawsuit against the Confessions hitmaker, accusing him of putting them at risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection.
The Yeah singer filed responding papers - through his lawyers - denying the claims. The lawsuit was eventually dropped after one of the women admitted - in a recorded phone conversation - to using protection while she was seeing the singer .
Usher and Grace have no children together, but he has two children from his first marriage to Tameka Foster.
